The Very Best From Alexander Winery
A testament to the success of the Alexander Winery and Yoram Shalom’s vision can be found in the Alexander Amaraloo 2007. Made in the same manner as Italy’s renowned Amarone wines, the Amaraloo utilize grapes dried on special mats for an extremely concentrated flavor. The grapes were crushed at their peak flavor intensity and the wine aged for 40 months in a combination of new and dry oak caskets.
The Amaraloo 2007 from Alexander Winery blends 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 4% Shiraz, and 3% Grenache and is incredibly full-bodied, with a long drawn out finish and a concentrated nose of vanilla and dried dark fruit. It incorporates violet, plum, black pepper, butterscotch, and a host of other flavors for a completely unique taste that earns the Alexander Winery its place as one of Israel’s premier boutique wineries.
Savor the Quality and Taste of Alexander Wines
In addition to the Amaraloo, Yoram Shalom has released a number of other popular Alexander wines that emphasize all that Israel has to offer. The 2009 Alexander Syrah features the classic flavors of the Galilee, with a nose of complex spices and ripe red berries and a body of blueberry, cherry, and a hint of toasty vanilla.
Also from Alexander Wines is the Alexander The Great Cabarnet Sauvignon 2007, an exclusive bottle that scored 90 points on Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate as well as the International Wine Review. It has an earthy depth, mouthwatering tannins, a lush texture, and a long finish. It offers flavors of cassiss, black pepper, and blackberry and a nose of plum, mocha, and vanilla.
