Weinstock's Cellar Select line represents the product of more meticulous grape selection and painstaking attention to detail in the winery. But when you take your first sip of Weinstock Cellar Select Petite Sirah, you will agree that winemaker Joe Hurliman's extra effort was well worth it. Petite Sirah is a cross between the Peloursin and Syrah grapes (note the different spelling!). It makes a deeply colored wine with bold and fruity flavor characteristics. Aromas include mulberry, raspberry and vanilla, and the firmly-structured palate features more rich berry flavors, plus a satisfying earthiness. A great barbecue wine, it is also excellent with mild Asian meat dishes and hearty stews. Less than 500 cases were produced, so get yours before it's gone!
