Soon after emigrating from Lithuania in 1882, Michael Chamiletzki was personally asked by Baron Edmund de Rothschild to plant and develop vineyards near Zichron Yaacov. Thus began the history of one of Israels iconic wineries. Today, winemaker Golan Tishbi continues the legacy of his great-grandfather, producing exemplary wines that prove the bright future of Israeli viticulture and winemaking. This Estate Pinot Noir is sourced from vineyards in Gush Etzion that are known to produce Pinot Noir grapes of exceptional finesse. Delicately-colored, the aromas include raspberry, earth and mocha. The flavors highlight ripe red berries, with plum and vanilla from moderate oak aging. This is a great red wine to pair with a substantial fish dish like roasted salmon, or with grilled chicken thighs and a semi-sweet chutney.
