Psagot Shiraz is what you get when one of Israel's top wineries decides to make a wine from what is perhaps Israel's leading red varietal. It pours an intense purple color and emanates fragrances of boysenberry, pomegranate and Chinese five-spice. The surprisingly earthy flavor profile speaks of the long barrel aging period. This complements the gobs of massive, hedonistic dark fruit that persist until he end of the long finish.
Pairs well with Mediterranean chicken stew, the best-quality grilled steak or jambalaya-style spicy pasta.
