White wine and sunshine
Sauvignon Blanc: ranging from aggressively grassy to sweetly tropical, is an excellent choice to start the evening with. Originating from South West France, the green skinned grape get its name from the French word sauvage meaning wild, and blanc, white. Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect pairing for summer friendly appetizers like vegetables and creamy dips, or fragrant salads like a leafy Caesar or savory Greek.
Pinot Grigio: pinot, which means pine cone in French, is said to be called such the small pine cone-shaped clusters it grows in. It is a light, very crisp, dry white with a nice clean finish – best eaten with light pastas or cracker and cheese combinations. As a fairly acidic wine, avoid pairing with other acidic fruits or tomato-based recipes.
