Golan Sion Creek Red was produced from Sangiovese, Syrah, Gamay Noir, Pinot Noir, and Napa Gamay grapes grown entirely in the Golan Heights. The cool climate, rocky volcanic soil, and high altitude are ideal conditions for growing classic wine grape varieties. The result is a light red wine enjoyable young, yet capable of aging over the next few years. To preserve the quality of the wine, the bottle should be stored on its side in a cool, dark place. Best served at 55 - 60°F
Pairs well with buttery salmon, red-sauced pizza or a juicy turkey burger.
This bottling has a lot of depth but is also easy-drinking, offering notes of strawberry, raspberry, dark flowers and spice box.
