Golan Merlot was produced entirely from Merlot grapes grown in the Golan Heights. The cool climate, rocky volcanic soil, and high altitude are ideal conditions for growing classic wine grape varieties. Five months aging in primarily American oak barrels results in a wine that balances ripe berry and cherry characteristics with attractive vanilla and oak notes. To preserve the quality of the wine, the bottle should be stored on its side in a cool, dark place.
Will integrate with Casado filled with meat or cheese, fish halibut with rosemary grilled, or a plate of sausages and cold meats.
Displays aromas of raspberry and cherry, along with the characteristics of orange blossoms and baking spices. The wine accessible and fun, medium-bodied and a good extension.
