Gilgal Chardonnay was produced entirely from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Golan Heights. The cool climate, rocky volcanic soil, and high altitude are ideal conditions for growing classic wine grape varieties. Aging in French oak barrels for 4 months adds a pleasing toastiness to the lemony character typical of Chardonnay.
Try matching the wine with pan-seared or grilled salmon, fresh pasta with a light cream sauce, or a steaming plate of fish and chips.
Gilgal Chardonnay exhibits bright pineapple, melon, green apple, and pear fruit notes with attractive hints of oak. The wine displays classic Chardonnay varietal character coupled with a very drinkable style. Ready to enjoy now, Gilgal Chardonnay will remain in good drinking condition for about four years from harvest.
