The grapes for this wine are grown in the Galilee region, and are aged for 16 months in French oak barrels. Characters of plum jam, ripe blueberry and blackberry, shades of mint, vanilla, and toasted oak. 78% Syrah, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot.
Petit Verdot is an especially tannic varietal and accordingly Meron has a massive structure, so it is best paired with lasagna, rich roast chicken or well-marbled steaks.
The deep purple color foretells a wine of exceptional weight and depth, and it delivers with explosive aromas of stewed plum, blueberry and menthol. On the palate, powerful blackberry flavors are layered with rich vanilla.
