The wines of Priorat are thought by many distinguished critics and connoisseurs to be the standard-bearers of Spanish red wines. You will find yourself agreeing with them after your first sip of Elvi El26. A blend of 40% Syrah, 30% Garnacha (Grenache), 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot, this pours an intense purple color and throws aromas of spicy raspberry and dried tobacco leaf. The flavors burst with plum, blackberry, forest floor and spicy vanilla. A substantial tannic structure allows El26 to stand up strongly to grilled prime steak, and it is also a great match for rustic stews or Manchego cheese.
