Covenant Red C Sauvignon Blanc comes from the Napa Valley winery that may be producing the finest kosher wines in the world (according to Robert Parker's Wine Advocate) under the direction of winemaker Jeff Morgan. Red C Sauvignon Blanc is a highly limited-production wine featuring a complex nose of mango, redcurrant and fresh-cut grass. On the palate you'll get very ripe grapefruit, with a disarming melange of herbs that includes sage and thyme. One could wax poetic about a wine of this quality for pages on end-but there's no way to describe the experience of tasting it yourself. When only the best kosher white wine will do, the discussion begins and ends with Covenant Red C Sauvignon Blanc.

Look for the newly released 2011 vintage which is crisper (it didn't complete malolactic fermentation like the 2010).
A relatively new addition to the Covenant family about whom I recently wrote in newsletter #173. While maybe not the most aptly named it's a very welcome addition to this noble family. As with all of Jeff’s wines, the balance between the various components is easily discernible and much appreciated. Good acidity holds up nicely with the white peaches, mango, papaya with hints of lime and grapefruit as well. Not as crisp as some other Sauvignon Blancs I have enjoyed relaying more on its easy drinking / mouth filling abilities to be a pleasing addition to my table – an succeeding very nicely. Also, easily the most affordable of Covenant’s wines as well!
