Covenant Lavan-Chardonnay comes from the Napa Valley winery that may be producing the finest kosher wines in the world (according to Robert Parker's Wine Advocate) under the direction of winemaker Jeff Morgan. Lavan Chardonnay is incomparably complex and rich, with pear, citrus, hazelnut, and mineral flavors. A luxurious, smooth texture perfectly compliments toast and vanilla flavors from top-of-the-line oak barrels. This will evolve in the bottle for another 2-3 years, and is drinking beautifully now alongside duck breast, grilled free-range chicken, and lightly smoked meats.
Beef or veal dishes, robust pasta dishes or full flavored cheeses.
A rich, exotic, distinctive style, with aromas of ripe currant, plum and blackberry, along with an intriguing new-leather aroma that plays in the background.

Name: Kosher Wino
Vintage Reviewed: 2009 (Reviewed on 1/20/13) - A sophisticated Chardonnay that has both power and charm. Light gold in color with a nose of peach and vanilla notes against a floral background. Refreshing notes of peach and pear on the palate mixed with pockets of oak and spice. Full bodied with bright acidity and long spicy finish. Still a bit on the young side and will improve with age. *clink*
