Castel Grand Vin 2012 is produced by Domaine du Castel, an Estate West of Jerusalem with vineyards at an altitude of 2,400 feet. The grapes (70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot) are handpicked and after fermentation the wine is aged 24 months in new French oak. It is full-bodied, bold, concentrated, and with layer after layer of aromas and flavors that linger on the tongue. Look for currants, cherries, plums, and spices on the palate, with hints of cedar.
