The Kayoumi vineyard rests 780 meters above sea level and is the source of some of the historic Carmel Winery's finest bottlings. This single-vineyard Riesling testifies to head winemaker Lior Lacser's skill in creating wines that show balance and represent the Israeli terroir. The wine is pale straw with a green tint. Aromatically, it presents classic Riesling aromas of lime and wet stone, continuing with flavors of orange blossom and green apple. A steely finish complements sharp but balanced acidity. This is a good wine to pair with salads that have vinaigrette dressings (which can be terrible with many other wines), spicy Mexican food, or roast duck.
Grilled fish, mezze or as an aperitif
Fragrant, delicate nose of citrus blossom, green apple and lime.
