The Carmel winery’s rich history dates back to 1882, when it was founded in Israel by Baron Edmond de Rothschild, who sought to create an Israeli equivalent to his most famous wine estate—Bordeaux’s Chateau Lafite-Rothschild. Over the decades, Carmel unfailingly met Baron de Rothschild’s quality standards while developing a style all its own. Carmel Kayoumi Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a rare wine devoted to preserving the unique terroir of Kayoumi—one of Israel’s top vineyards. No outside grapes are allowed in the blend, so that the deep fruit character—with following notes of tobacco and smooth oak—reach their full expression. With a decade-plus of age on it, this wine becomes a special event unto itself. It is our distinct honor to offer it to you today.
