Barkan's exceptional Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon has been created to achieve the perfect balance of fruit aromas and barrel aging. The grapes are hand selected from vineyards located in the Northern Galilee and harvested at exactly the right moment to create a big and firm wine that maintains its fruit character without being overly alcoholic. The wine is then barrel aged for at least 20 months, mostly in French oak, to establish its balanced character. The result is an elegant rich and dark wine that will continue to improve in the bottle for several years.
Full flavored meat or rich sauced chicken dishes.
Full bodied, rich fruit-forward raspberry and dark cherry flavors, subtle hints of oak and a long finish.

- Very, very smooth. Medium bodied and well balanced with hints of cherries and currants on the palate. Medium length finish with some heat. Based on the smoothness, this one is likely at its peak and will start heading downhill soon.

- The Barkan Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is an extremely well rounded Cab. The wine displays the perfect about of fruit and oak upfront and minimal tannins in the finish. All around this is an excellent price for a wine under $20. Highly recommended.
